CIA / Sliocht

5 out of 11 reward badges made for the Cavan Instinctive Archery group. Luckily I got commissioned again! And what a great idea on behalf of the co-ordinator for coming up with the badge idea :D

Cavan Instinctive Archery runs every Tuesday in Tullyvin Hall (Cavan) from 6pm.
You can reach the Facebook page by clicking here.

On another note, a friend recently asked me to make a stage back-drop for his pagan metal band. Hopefully it'll be seen around!

Birthday

Last minute gift for my brothers girlfriends birthday (stupid me spent more time thinking about a costume rather than a present, durr). The girl on the left is her younger sister who passed away last month.

Parental Units

The lady who commissioned this has never had a photo of her parents together (father now deceased). One photo of her mother and two of her father were referenced, here's hoping she likes the finished result!

Cissys Kitchen @ Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann 2011

For the Cavan Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann, a friends dad is part of a comedy sketch based on a typical Cavan kitchen in the 1950's, which needed to be advertised via posters and a billboard.

After a few sketches, this was the chosen layout/drawing. The background was later modified (drawing was scanned and then coloured in on Adobe Illustrator and openCanvas to anyone interested)

8x4ft billboard... finally finished!

Taking a sneak preview in Cissys Kitchen before it's opening...

It was cool bumping into these signs! There is a number of them hung around Cavan town directing towards the venue.

Pesky kids, get off ma damn sign!

On top of the billboard and advertising posters, 1000 business cards were printed and left in the kitchen. Huge, huge, HUGE thanks to 'Mick' for the interest and trust and to 'Cissy' for the kind words! I called into the kitchen during the Fleadh and it was almost impossible to walk around inside and outside-- proving the show was a success! Well done guys!

Alongside the above, one of the creamy cans was painted for a collection for Self Help Africa

And not to forget Granny Annies late fifth husband who she couldn't bear to bury, so she had him stuffed, mounted, and placed in the kitchen.

Recyclin'

An old canvas painted over. I'm not particulary a fan of Hendrix but he makes for an excuse to do a fast colour-dy background!

A gift! How cool is it having HeMan, Tom Hanks and Yoko Ono all in one band?

Lots more of these coming soon!

Neglecting Blogger...

One of the wooden silhouettes dads been getting mental into lately. I drew, he cut.. unfortunatly he cut some of the wrong lines for the woman :/ He also made the well from scratch.

MMAT mandrake tie-dyed... thing! Originally made as a door curtain, but it seems to work as a throw too.

Hand-bound A5 hardcover book. I think think comic in question is.. Green something? One of the cheap ones from Forbidden Planet!

Toasty

The bigger piece of toast is just a keyring (just need to get a ring/chain) while the other three are cufflinks and a soon-to-be toast earring! I was messing around with fimo last night while talking to the device and decided to make cufflinks for the debs. The earring is a on-the-sly matching accessory. Why toast though? Well, why not?

(Currently in Cootehill and the only photo capturing device I have is a phone... with no focus... woohoo)

AIH1

Hanging around college after-hours and with only 3 formal classes left, it dawned on me that there were no form of keepsakes for anyone in AIH1... so I threw this class caricature of everyone from the course together over a few hours. Here's hoping they liked it and aren't plotting revenge!

Butchering Nara (envelopes)

College work tea break in the form of ripping off Yoshitomo Nara. Decided to put the pack of crayons that were gathering dust to some use and practice other styles!

Starting to fall in love with drawing on envelopes and using crayons! This is going to make growing up even harder! What's even more fun is that they only take around 5 - 15 minutes to do. Perfect for an ADD-er/Facebook addict...
The left and middle envelopes were just for fun, while the one on the right was drawn for a coursemate who loves trolls :D Only AIHers will understand the mushroom reference :'D
Oh yeah, and I WANT AN ORIGINAL WAAAAHHHH

Strip

Superretardedrushedcomicstripohmygodhowembarrassing- this was asked for by the BCFE Bulletin and most of it was crammage/last minute drawing. Note to self: *SLAP!*
The last frame displays random people from BCFE (AIH1, CCHND, RP), done very, very badly...
